Academically trained, for decades present with his works in the art market, in demand and appreciated, permanently driven by the fascination of using basic materials for artistic design completely contrary to their original „purpose“ and letting them unfold completely unexpected effects, despite all success always modestly „remaining on the ground“ – this is how one could compactly describe what characterizes the painter and sculptor Willi Siber!

Willi Siber presents in this exhibition his own new works in an exciting dialogue with his favorite pieces from his private collection. He wants to give the audience the opportunity to discover the very personal view of an artist on the work of colleagues from art history and the present. It is not about chronological or thematic order, but rather the free play of surprising references between colors, forms and motifs, associations, moods and harmonies should be allowed to unfold its effects.
